Mary Kilvert has done it again and we are delighted to announce the launch of ‘Pack of Proud Pooches’. Vibrant canines, illustrated in Mary’s inimitable style, featured in a range of homewares and stationery, join Mary’s highly successful Flock of Colourful Sheep.
Mary Kilvert is fascinated by ‘how many shapes and sizes dogs come in, and their personalities. I’ve drawn breeds I like best,’ she says, ‘particularly those I meet when out walking my dog, Bertie, in Frome.’
She has dressed the pooches in her signature knitted designs. The Shar Pei wears a cravat, the Boxer a Fair Isle tank, while the Dalmatian sports a beret. You can also spot Mary’s King Charles Spaniel in a smart blue checked coat.
British love of dogs is unwavering – one household in four now has one. ‘My illustrations allow adults and children alike to indulge their love of animals,’ says Mary.
In association with Bath Cats and Dogs Home, Mary will be celebrating the launch of the Pack of Proud Pooches range in her shop at the top of Catherine Hill in Frome this August with the Mary Kilvert Dog Show. Dogs are invited to come and receive doggie treats as well as being entered into competitions such as best dressed dog, dog with the waggiest tail and hairiest hound. We will also be offering 10% off the new Pack of Proud Pooches collection.
Homewares include cushions, cotton tote bags, mugs and a tray. Stationery includes notebooks, giftwrap and cards. Also now available online: www.marykilvert.com.
