Ballet Under the Stars

Ballet Under the Stars

The Covent Garden Dance Company has been staging the International Stars of Ballet and Dance in Hatch House’s world famous 17th Century Walled Dutch Garden since 2009. The Wiltshire based event has now grown in to an established summer event presenting three nights of world class ballet and dance performed by some of the greatest names the art has to offer from all over the world.

This year the event will celebrate and showcase the ‘Best of British’ talent with dancers, choreography, design and music from all corners of the kingdom. The dinner, wines and venue will also have a very British theme and flavour.

The programme is always a beautiful mix of classical, neo-classical and contemporary ballet and this year will be no exception. Covent Garden Dance endeavours to always bring new works to the stage and Matt Brady, founder of the Covent Garden Dance Company, is working with young choreographers on new pieces for this year with the kind support of the Dicky Buckle Fund.

For many, ‘Ballet Under the Stars’ is a red letter date in their summer calendar and every year this incredible weekend of performances is discovered by new guests. Covent Garden Dance has built up a huge, loyal following over the past 9 nine years, realised from the company’s ability to create stunning programmes that combine fine dining in the beautiful covered walled garden with a sublime mixed-bill programme that makes this intimate evening one of the most memorable of experiences.

This year will see world renowned names such as Xander Parish, Ksenia Ovsyanick, Mara Galeazzi and many more grace the Harlequin stage at Hatch House and will include works by Sir Frederick Ashton, Sir Kenneth MacMillan, Russell Maliphant and many more..
Hatch House ballet is a truly unmissable event for ballet lovers as well as those who have never seen dance before. No one leaves without falling in love with this magical evening.

Presented by the Covent Garden Dance Company 20th, 21st and 22nd July
