The Art of Dance

Jo Vincent of Jo Vincent Art is a self-taught fine artist and illustrator and this year she has decided to support the Dance World Cup 2020.

Country Child is fortunate to have worked with Jo for many years as one of their illustrators creating bespoke water-colour and ink, digital art or a combination of the two for her illustrations. Her fine art focuses more on colourful land and seascapes,  as well abstract painting, in oils, acrylics and sometimes mixed media.

Her ability to adapt her mediums gave her the ability to create artwork to sell to raise funds for the dance troupe to achieve the goal of getting them to Rome to represent their country at the Dance World Cup finals this summer.

Having had a stroke at the young age of 25, Jo can relate to the fluidity and movement that the dancers bring and this is very much depicted in the dance art she has generated. The work can be bought in jpeg formats but would be ideal to reprint into wall art, merchandise, stationary or logos for dance academies, ballet enthusiasts or just for personal use.

Jo is also a part-time tutor at one of Birmingham’s biggest FE college’s, teaching exploring art and life skills to adults and young people with learning difficulties and disabilities. She has sold many paintings and exhibited in The Stroke Associations National Life After Stroke Centre and at the Midlands Art centre known as the MAC.

Jump to the fundraising page here and help support some inspirational young people go from national champions to international champions.

We hope they very much achieve their goal to firstly get there but then WIN!

Good Luck!
