Peppa Pig's Best Day Ever! At Theatre Royal, Winchester

As Peppa Pig and all her friends get ready for their best day ever on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th March, we spoke to Peppa ahead of her performances at Theatre Royal, Winchester, this weekend…

So Peppa, are you excited about the road trip you’re going on with your family and
friends?

Yes. Oink! Oink! Hee Hee Hee! I’m very excited to visit loads of new places and I hope to
make some more nice friends. I think it’s going to be the best ever!
What makes this your best day ever?
Lots of adventure! I like it when we get to drive around in our camper van and eat lots of
ice cream and explore castles. And jump in muddy puddles of course.
What are you looking forward to the most on your road trip?
Jumping in muddy puddles. Hee Hee!
Who is your favourite person to travel with?
My little brother, George. Oink! Oink! But he has to bring Mr. Dinosaur everywhere with
him!
Have you been to the theatre before?
Yes, I have. Madame Gazelle took our whole class to watch Mr. Potato’s Christmas Show!
It was really fun.
Was that your first trip to the theatre?
Yes and it was also Suzy Sheep’s first time too. It was so exciting! Suzy is my best friend.
What do you do when you go to the theatre?
Mummy Pig or a grown up picks up the tickets, and then we have to find our special
seats with our ticket numbers on them. Oink! Oink! It gets dark when the lights go out,
but not because it’s bedtime, it just means the show is about to start, and we all need to
be quiet.
Who else is going to be joining you at the theatre?
Mummy, Daddy, George, Mr. Bull, Suzy Sheep, Gerald Giraffe and some of our other
friends. Even Miss Rabbit is coming! She is always so busy with all her jobs, so it’s extra
special she can come with us.

Join Peppa Pig and her family as they explore and take on lots of adventures!

And brand new for this year, we spoke to the one and only Miss Rabbit, ahead of her debut performances!

Hello Miss Rabbit, thank you very much for taking the time to speak to us – we
know how busy you are!

Are you looking forward to joining Peppa for her Best Day Ever?
Yes, of courrrrrse! It’s going to be one big adventure, and I’m so pleased that I can join
them all. I have just been so busy I didn’t think I would be able to find the time. Although
I must admit, I do love being busy!
There’s nothing better than travelling around and exploring new places. I hope there’s
going to be lots of driving, and I’ll get to drive everyone in the bus! I can’t wait.
Who else will be joining you?
Well, Peppa and George will of course be there with Mummy Pig and Daddy Pig. Mr.
Bull, Suzy Sheep and Gerald Giraffe are coming along as well.
Do you know what Peppa’s Best Day Ever is going to include?
No, I have no idea! I hope we get to visit loads of interesting places… maybe a castle or a
cave or even a trip to the theatre.
We know you have so many different jobs including nursing, library assistant,
recycling centre operator, face painter, supermarket cashier, helicopter pilot and
many many more… but have you ever worked in a theatre?

No I haven’t, but one of my jobs is selling ice cream, so I could definitely do that at the
theatre in the interval. I do love ice cream!
There are so many other things I would love to try though, like selling tickets at the box
office… being an usher… manning the lighting rig and of course acting and directing!
If you were performing in a theatre and had to share a dressing room with
someone, who would it be and why?

That’s a hard one as I love everyone, but if I had to choose it would probably have to be
Gerald Giraffe. It’s always handy to share a room with someone who can help me reach
things. Gerald is always lovely and never minds being asked!
