Guilt free family halloween recipes, with all the spook, and none of the junk!

Juicy spider anyone? Or how about an edible eyeball? Or perhaps a humus dipping with a spooky skeleton's ribcage ?

Whilst Trick or Treating is a highlight of the year for scores of mini (and not so mini) trick or treaters, the eternal issue is how to avoid the endless sugary sweets and cakes that lurk and tempt at this time of year.

Organix has the answer, with their range of ghoulishly good recipes for the whole family. They’re also fun to make, designed to be showstoppers at any halloween party, and they’re healthy too! So forget the sugary treats this Halloween and get creative with these instead!

Blackberry Spiders (suitable for 10 months+):

All you need is a punnet of blackberries, a bunch of black grapes and a paintbrush, to create this fun spider's web bursting with deliciously juicy spiders! Don't forget to get your kids involved in painting their own webs either.

Make a statement with this Halloween platter complete with Edible eyeballs, apple bites and witches fingers (suitable for 12 months+):

Edible eyeballs: simply made with cherry tomatoes, cream cheese, and peas! Apple bites: zigzag your apple to create a set of teeth to go with your edible eyeballs! Witches cheese fingers: trim your cheese into a ghoulish finger shape and place a nail shaped piece of pepper on the end of each fingertip. Spellbindingly tasty!

Sweet Halloween Pumpkin Muffins (suitable for 12 months+):

Use butternut squash or pumpkin to give the cakes a natural sweetness, alongside a small quantity of maple syrup. Scarily simple to make, little ones will love these spooktacular designs and irresistibly sticky toppings, made using cream cheese or greek yoghurt, combined with blueberries, blackberries and kiwis.

Scary apple teeth (suitable for 12 months+):

Cut cored apples into quarters then slice again. Spread each ‘lip’ with nut butter and some red fruit puree then bring a top and bottom lip together and carefully stick in some pine nut or sunflower seed ‘teeth’ in between.
