The UK’s Favourite Family Car Revealed
With over 88,500 Google searches for the ‘best family car’ each year in the UK, it is clear that Brits want to be well informed before they choose their family vehicle.
In light of this, car rental experts at Avis were eager to find out which are the most popular family cars in the UK. By analysing monthly search volumes, Avis reveals the UK’s top 10 favourite family cars!
According to the average monthly search volumes, Tesla Model 3 is the UK’s most searched for family car with 165,000 searches occurring each month. The 2017 model is arguably the safest car on the road with a compact electric powertrain and a rigid passenger compartment.
In joint second place are the Range Rover Evoque and Land Rover Defender, each accumulating an average of 110,000 monthly searches. With both offering ample passenger and boot space, these two models are perfect for getting the family about.
Ranking in joint third place are the Ford Focus and Kia EV6 with an average of 90,500 monthly searches each. Both vehicles are renowned for their reliability and high milage range making them the best choice for long distance journeys.
Following closely behind among the UK’s most popular family cars are the Volvo XC90 (74,000 searches), Audi qQ7 (60,500 searches) and Seat Leon (49,500 searches), respectively ranking fourth, fifth and sixth.
In tenth place is the Peugeot 508 with 18,100 monthly searches. Despite being spacious and well-equipped, this model receives 89% less searches a month compared to the Tesla 3 Model in first place.
