NEW Forest Adventure Fun

Have you ever wondered what life would be like as a Monkey? Well now you can with Moors Valley’s (Romsey) New GoApe High Rope tree courses. GoApe has many sites dotted around the south of England and Moors Valley Park is right on Country Child’s doorstep, so off they went to check out the New courses on offer. Here’s how they got on.

At the start of Easter, the Country Child family visited the park and reported that their day was hugely enjoyable. The Country Child parents had undertaken the main tree course before but were keen to tackle the newer, shorter, more age accessible courses on offer for the whole family.

The starter courses on offer begin with the ‘Treetop Adventure’ which is suitable for little ones as tall as 1 metre and have 3 different trails to experience. The next step is an intermediate course called the ‘Treetop Adventure Plus’ which is for older children who are taller than 1.2 metres, again this adventure has three different routes. For older teens and adults you then return to GoApe’s flag ship trail which is suitable for people over the height of 1.4m.

The challenges included in all of these challenges include balancing between two wires, tightrope walking, crawling through nets, pulling your body weight along to the next platform, to then whizz down on 10m tall zipwires.

The Country Child son said ‘These courses take you to the highest of highs and the lowest of lows, it makes your heart beat out of your skin and gives you a huge adrenaline rush.’

If you have time and enough energy left, you can also have a try at the parks Forest Segways. Or if your family is still on the younger side, another fun experience is another New challenge for 2024 on the ‘Nets Adventure Challenge’, where all the family can climb on three different levels of springy nets that overlook the park.

So whatever works for your family, remember to check out Moors Valley in Romsey to see what this enormous adventure park has to offer!
