Living in this part of the world is lovely, we all know the scenery is great, the people are friendly and the food and drink scene wonderful. But if you work in London, or used to and have migrated out to the rural communities, are you finding that your dress sense is feeling decidedly ‘parental’ or just not as ‘on trend’ as it used to? There are many ladies’ boutiques around but for the gents there is less choice.
Well I have to say, after going to the launch of the ‘Games Room’ at Regent Tailoring in Salisbury, there is no excuse for the guys to not be investing in some key pieces. This is the latest room to open in their amazing shop, whether you are a dad about town, uber trendy or rock a more traditional country style, I defy you not to find something in the store that you’ll love and find easy to incorporate into your wardrobe.
The business is completely independent and is family owned and run. They pride themselves on sourcing unusual items and brands that all have a story. The look for the discerning male customer is contemporary but not too trendy stocking iconic brands that you rarely find outside of London.
The ‘Dressing Room’ holds their ladies’ range, gorgeous cashmere, sports jackets, a new toiletries range and gloves made by Dorset firm Chester Jeffries are the tip of the fashion iceberg. As tailors they have an eye for detail, you really will find things here that you didn’t expect and would usually be synonymous with shopping in a big city.
If it’s a gift for a man hard to buy for or some much needed wardrobe rejuvenation for Mum or Dad, it has to be Regent Tailoring.
