Pre shopping coffee? Lunch with the girls? A catch up with other Mums and their babies?
Seldom does a premise offer such versatility by offering diners a relaxed, informal yet grand setting and which works for all varieties of guests.
A quick turn down from the Old George Shopping Mall in Salisbury onto New Street and you will find the most eclectic mix of styles for a dining space within The Cosy Club. We visited the site which is one of six located in the UK part of Lounge Limited and we can see that the name reflects very much of what their ethos stands for.
Comfortable (so comfortable I could have nodded off in their well worn in sofa), spacious and inviting with striking wall art, flamboyant framed mirrors and heavy pieces of natural artefacts which blends in with the woody overtones. All this within an arts and crafts exterior, framed around an art-nouveau inspired serving station, talk about mind blowing!
This mix of styles and eras has created a place to escape to for young and old. Space for Mums with Buggies and tables not so hemmed in you can see what your neighbour had for breakfast let alone lunch! High ceilings give a sense of grandeur, so for a late evening apres shopping visit, this is a must for a refreshing tipple before Mums return home to prepare the supper. Or better still stay for dinner, the menu is generous again in its range and all palettes have been catered for. We were lunching from a late coffee but we were still amazed at how three hours had passed quite smoothly and all too quickly.
If you are out and about in Salisbury this Winter Time we urge you to visit this back street delight, just make sure you have the time to fully appreciate and take in your surroundings. A great change from the rest!
