Frome Twinning Association: Free Children's Event

'The Association would like to invite Frome children and families to their next free children’s event during the half-term holiday. This will start with a German Carnival mask-making workshop organised by the Children’s Festival from 1.45 to 2.30 pm on Thursday 21st February in Vallis First School. At the same time children will have the opportunity to develop questions or suggestions for the Mayor of Frome. At 2.45pm children and families will form a carnival procession to the Town Hall. Children are invited to come in fancy-dress for this and will wear their masks. On arrival, we will storm the Town Hall and demand the attendance of the Mayor. After he has agreed to answer the children’s questions, we will go into the Council Chamber for questions. Refreshments will be available for adults and children will all receive a free doughnut (a tradition in our German twin town of Murrhardt). The event will finish no later than 4pm and all children must be accompanied by an adult throughout. This event is being targeted at 6-12 years old, but younger or older members of the family are also invited to come along. Numbers are limited so booking is essential. Call Sue Worringham on 01373 462431 to book a place.'
