Saturday 7th May
Hillier Gardens, Romsey open this weekend and they are running a Gardener’s Breakfast this morning at 8.30am you can enjoy a traditional breakfast and learn gardening tips at this popular horticultural get-together with their expert. After breakfast enjoy a seasonal garden tour before they open to the public. Booking is essential – Price – £14.95 p/p
This weekend is Christchurch Food and Wine Festival – with lots of events over today and tomorrow, we love the sound of the Kids Kitchen sessions they are running. New for this year an amazing opportunity for a parent or grandparent and one child or young person aged 8 and above to cook with their best local chefs and TV personality Lesley Waters. Warminster School have their open day for the senior school this morning – 10am -12pm.
Did you know Honey Buns have a Pop-Up Bee Shack Shop at Naish farm, Hollwell, Dorset, every first Saturday of the month. Pop in for delicious gluten free cakes, homemaking mixes and gorgeous gifts. You will still be able to access the front field and nature reserve where the Big Dig helpers and bulb planters will be able to watch their creations blossom. 9.30am – 12 noon.
If your family has slightly older kids ABOP Shaftesbury Youth Theatre Elite Company are performing Spring awakening. This edgy cautionary tale will make your mind race, your imagination run wild, and it might make you feel a little, well—uncomfortable. Across the world this cautionary tale continues to inspire rebels, surge debate, and more importantly, refuses to be ignored. With some swearing and sexual content this performance is recommended for 12 years and above. Book your tickets here.
Sunday 8th May
Today is Frome Blues Festival at The Cheese and Grain from 2pm – 10pm
Yeo Valley Organic Gardens are open at Holt Farm from this weekend 11-5pm, there is also a cafe offering morning coffee, light lunch and afternoon tea. Admission for children is free and adults are £5
All Jaguar owners are invited to drive into Beaulieu and park up within the museum complex for what promises to be a superb day out for both Jaguar owners and enthusiasts. 10-5pm and the event includes admission to all the Beaulieu attractions including the National Motor museum and under 5s go free!
Winchester Farmer’s market is on this weekend, one of the largest farmers markets in the UK it’s well worth a visit to winchester high street!
