Mill on the Brue is a family run business which has been open since 1982, taking up to 72 children a week who are put into age appropriate groups. Children will have a complete digital detox and get back to interacting with real people and making lifelong friends. They will push themselves mentally and physically throughout the week, experiencing new activities and finding an inbuilt confidence that will stand them in good stead for life. Both the residential groups and day visits will try about 6 different activities in a day.

The children that come to stay will each go on one overnight stay to camp in the great outdoors. They are taught basic bush craft skills, they will also learn to cook their supper on an open fire and lots of camp fire songs are included too.

Finally, food is top priority at Mill on the Brue as they know children will need fuel to keep them on the go all day. Louise the Head Caterer ensures that all the food is child friendly whilst being healthy. 85% of the fruit and vegetables are grown at Mill on the Brue using organic methods and also source as much of their produce locally too. The catering team cook for all dietary requirements and ensure that none of the food cooked in the kitchen contains nuts.
